Alan Pugh will present an illustrated history of Leeds from the Domesday book through the Industrial Revolution to being granted City status at the end of the 19th century.  Kirkstall Abby and Pontefract Castle share a deeply intertwined history dating back to the 12th century, bound together by Henry de Lacy.
