This talk will follow the history of RAF Marston Moor from the arrival of the RAF, the construction of the base and will include a detailed look at the people affected, the buildings constructed, the sites’ role during WW2 and the sites current condition.
At the end of this talk a unique opportunity will be available where the audience will be invited to the front to ask questions, look at and handle various pieces of aviation and military history.
This event is organised by Pontefract Civic Society, admission including refreshments is £2 for Civic Society Members and £2.50 for Non-Members.
