Friends of Pontefract Park

Friends of Pontefract Park is a voluntary community group with the aim of improving Pontefract Park through fund raising, obtaining grants, encouraging community involvement, organising events in the Park and various voluntary activities including bulb and flower planting and litter picking. The group has been successful in installing new benches and picnic tables, planting spring bulbs and flower beds, anddd arranging the annual "Picnic in the Park". The main on-going project is the renovation of the children's playground. Active volunteers needed.
