Step into history and sketch around the castle site. \nThis session is inspired by paintings in the Picturing Pontefract Exhibition at Pontefract Museum. \nUrban sketching is nothing complicated. It’s just people getting together to have a go at sketching what they can see\, wherever they are. \nPlease note: there is no tuition in this session. But\, there will be pencils\, paper and lots of encouragement on hand. \nFor adults 18+

Take a walk around the festive market and get into the spirit of the season as you kickstart your Christmas shopping. Whilst we can’t promise snow we can promise a giant snowglobe for the kids to enjoy! Alongside funfair rides there will also be fantastic performances from local groups on the main stage. Don’t forget to pick up a tasty snack from our street food and drink vendors as you savour the community atmosphere. \nMake sure to be around the main stage for the official light switch-on at at 5:30pm.
