DESCRIPTION:This is a charity event with all KLH profits being donated to the Prince of Wales Hospice.\nWe’re waiting to meet and greet you and will have over 30 stalls in this beautiful hotel.\n\nFree entry (but we will have a collection bucket for the hospice\, if anyone wants to unburden their pockets and purses)\, and there’s plenty of onsite free parking!\n\nIt’s Remembrance Sunday and we will be acknowledging this at 11am. Your support for this event and the hospice would be greatly appreciated.

But we’re not fair‑weather ladies; unless it’s blowing a gale\, biblical rain\, or ten feet of snow\, we’ll simply put on our big coats and carry on in true Yorkshire fashion.\n\nYou’ll find us once a month on a Friday\, radiating out from Pontefract’s historic Buttercross — bringing makers\, bakers\, artists\, and crafters together in the heart of the town.

DESCRIPTION:Setting up the Commonwealth War Graves Commission – David Jones \nThe Unending Vigil\, Known unto God \nThe story of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission \nThe First World War or the Great War was the first industrialised war which very quickly created a new challenge for the British and Allied governments and because of demands by families of all classes to respect the lives and sacrifice of soldiers killed on the battlefields across the globe. Out of this emotional situation grew the Imperial War graves Commission. This presentation will tell the story behind the emergence of the Imperial War graves Commission and later the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the challenge it faced in paying due respect to those who gave their lives for their country. \nFree for our members or tickets are available for non members for £3 on the door at £3.96 from Eventbrite (booking fee included)

Don’t forget to pick up a tasty snack from our street food and drink vendors as you savour the community atmosphere. \nMake sure to be around the main stage for the official light switch-on at at 5:30pm.
