DESCRIPTION:Join Paul Cartwright to explore the important and wonderful world of liquorice and its history in Pontefract delivered as a guided tour. \nMeet at the bandstand in the inner bailey of Pontefract Castle 5 minutes before the start time. \nThe sites of some liquorice producers remain\, though for the rest you’ll need to use your imagination for how extensive and important liquorice was in Pontefract. A map of former liquorice business locations will be provided\, and the walk will end at Pontefract Museum in the town centre. \nThis free event is part of the Heritage Open Day
