DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our new partnership with The Grange — bringing u3a activities to Pontefract. \n\nWhat’s happening? \nFour u3a groups will be demonstrating activities throughout the day. You can talk to group leaders\, ask questions\, and get a feel for what u3a offers. Musical interludes will be provided by our Sing & Strum and Guitar groups. \nNew groups for Pontefract \nWe’re exploring Creative Writing\, History\, Craft & Chat\, and Gardening — and we’d love to hear what interests you. \nWhy come along? \nTry something new\, meet friendly people\, and discover what u3a can bring to the Pontefract area. \n\n\nWhat u3a offers\n\nWakefield & District u3a is a self‑financing\, self‑governing charity affiliated to the national u3a movement. We bring people together to enjoy shared interests\, learn new skills\, and stay active mentally and socially. Our members run nearly 50 groups covering subjects from languages and creative writing to walking\, music\, crafts\, history\, science and much more. \nu3a is about trying something new\, meeting friendly people\, and enjoying activities at your own pace. Whether you want to explore a hobby\, follow a long‑held interest\, or simply meet others in your community\, there is something for everyone.
